In the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates cosmetics,[2] defines cosmetics as "intended to be applied to the human body for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance without affecting the body's structure or functions". This broad definition includes any material intended for use as a component of a cosmetic product. The FDA specifically excludes soap from this category

In early October of 2016, the Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook found something shocking in his order from Buffalo Wild Wings. While digging into his order of Lemon Pepper chicken wings, Cook uncovered an entire fried chicken head and promptly spit up his food to get a refund. The workers tried to convince him that the discovery meant his food was “fresh”. Even so, Cook says he will not be dining there again.

The tooth was spotted by his fiancee, Lauren Gooch who noticed that the tooth even had a filling on it. Tesco’s Finest has made a statement saying that there is no way that sausage arrived in the store with a tooth in it as they have a metal detector that would have noticed the tooth filling before delivery

Mexican fast food chain Moe’s really screwed one of their customers over around four years ago. Reddit user Vyqz found a literal screw wrapped up in his in his burrito. He apparently picked it out of the burrito and finished eating it, but Moe’s also granted him some free queso.

A Popeyes franchise location in New York City came under investigation in September 2016 when a woman found an entire deep fried rat head hidden with the rest of her chicken. Rosemary Thomas shared a series of images of her gross find on Facebook eventually getting attention from Renee Kopowski, a spokesperson for Popeyes who began investigations into the incident. Apparently, finding unusual items in a platter of fried chickens is pretty common, but usually, these items are chicken organs and not rat heads.

A woman dining at a local part of the Au Bon Pain chain ordered a salad and got an extra topping for no extra cost: an entire rat. The woman from Minneapolis ate more than half of her salad before noticing the dead rodent covered in ranch hiding beneath her food.
# 6 Tongue Eating Parasite in Tuna
A woman in Britain opened a can of tuna for dinner only to find a can of parasites instead. Zoe Butler from the UK found a beady-eyed parasite in her tuna, later identified as Cymothoa exigua, a tongue-eating louse. It may also be a tadpole or juvenile crab, but either way, it is not something Butler was expecting to look back at her when she went to make a plate of tuna salad.

Leigh Savage from Melbourne, Australia ordered a Big Mac with extra pickles but instead, found 20 to 30 maggots crawling over the meat patties. When he reported the gross discovery to the McDonald’s staff, they apparently just laughed. However, he was at least given a refund.

In another more recent McNightmare, a woman named Lyn Richie ordered a burger for her daughter and found something disgusting. When they lifted the bun, they found a huge nail clipping in place of any condiments. The British family has decided never to return to the restaurant chain since this incident in 2015.
# 3 Worms in Tap Water
The Residents of a small Russian town called Tavda are suffering from something truly gross crawling out of their faucets. Tavda is suffering from a plague of worms in their tap water, clogging up water pipes in homes, schools, and even hospitals. These worms were later identified to be mosquito larvae and the residents in town were ordered not to drink or use any of the tap water. Although they have not been deemed dangerous to humans by officials, most residents probably didn’t want to be drinking any of this wormy water.

James and Jasmine Watson were having a date night dinner when they found something truly disgusting fall out of their bag of salad. They ate a few bites of their steak and salad before spotting a soggy 5-inch-long dead bird lying with the greens. The couple ordered the salad online from Tesco, which was once voted the worst supermarket in Britain for apparently good reason. The bag of salad was originally £1.50 but ended up earning them 200 pounds in compensation.

Airplane food isn’t usually touted as the height of anyone’s culinary experience, but Delta Airlines took it to a whole new level of bad in the summer of 2012. Four different sandwiches served by Delta Airlines were found to have one-inch needles embedded into their cold cuts. Dutch police and the FBI, and Delta Airlines themselves looked into the issue although no conclusions were made.

I made my way to Lanzhou, in search of the best Chinese street food and halal Chinese muslim food. I found a ton of street food and specialty halal snacks. Lanzhou is in the northwest of China, close to the far west Xinjiang province, and is home of the Hui people, and the food is fantastic! There was a lot of Chinese street food and Islam muslim Chinese cuisine. Just like you, I love street food around the world, and I travel for food. I came here to eat!
Street food in China is something I’m always looking to find more of! So I flew to Lanzhou, China and have been trying Chinese Muslim Hui Halal Street food non stop. Best Street Food in China I’ve tasted! The Chinese food is so good in Lanzhou! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Shanghai, street food in Chengdu, and street food in Hong Kong, all of which has been amazing, but I have to say that the chinese street food in Lanzhou has been some of the best!
When you think of China, you probably don’t think of Islam and Halal food, but that’s exactly what you’ll find in the Northwest. I made my way for a food trip to the dusty and bustling classic Silk Road city of Lanzhou specifically to try the unique halal food of the Hui people. This is the side of China not many people see, and I came here to have an authentic travel experience through food. I found a lot of food reminiscent of countries further west, with insane amounts of lamb and beef leaving me absolutely speechless.

I made my way to Lanzhou, in search of the best Chinese street food and halal Chinese muslim food. I found a ton of street food and specialty halal snacks. Lanzhou is in the northwest of China, close to the far west Xinjiang province, and is home of the Hui people, and the food is fantastic! There was a lot of Chinese street food and Islam muslim Chinese cuisine. Just like you, I love street food around the world, and I travel for food. I came here to eat!
Street food in China is something I’m always looking to find more of! So I flew to Lanzhou, China and have been trying Chinese Muslim Hui Halal Street food non stop. Best Street Food in China I’ve tasted! The Chinese food is so good in Lanzhou! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Shanghai, street food in Chengdu, and street food in Hong Kong, all of which has been amazing, but I have to say that the chinese street food in Lanzhou has been some of the best!
When you think of China, you probably don’t think of Islam and Halal food, but that’s exactly what you’ll find in the Northwest. I made my way for a food trip to the dusty and bustling classic Silk Road city of Lanzhou specifically to try the unique halal food of the Hui people. This is the side of China not many people see, and I came here to have an authentic travel experience through food. I found a lot of food reminiscent of countries further west, with insane amounts of lamb and beef leaving me absolutely speechless.

Indian Street Food - TASTY FRIED IMARTI Indian Sweets Jhangri | Urad Dal Jalebi
Imarti or Jhangri is a dessert introduced by Mughal cooks to India and other countries of the Indian Subcontinent. It is made by deep-frying urad flour batter in a kind of circular flower shape, then soaked in sugar syrup. Alternative names include Amriti, Emarti, Omriti and Jaangiri. This dish is not to be confused with Jalebi which has comparatively thinner material and is sweeter than Imarti.
Imarti is made from a variety of urad flour, also colloquially called jalebi parappu (dal) or jalebi urad in south India. Sugar syrup and saffron is added for colour.
Urad dal is soaked in water for few hours, and stone-ground into a fine batter. The batter is poured into ghee, though other oils are sometimes used. Similarly to funnel cakes, the batter is poured into geometric patterns, although imartis are generally smaller than funnel cakes. There is often a small ring in the middle.
Before frying the batter, sugar syrup is prepared and is usually flavored with edible camphor, cloves, cardamom and saffron. The fried material is then dipped in sugar syrup until it expands in size and soaks up a significant amount of the syrup. In Northern India imartis are usually drained, so tend to be drier than jalebis. The pieces can be served hot, at room temperature, or sometimes refrigerated.
In South India, this sweet is served during the meal and also popular at weddings and festivals. In particular, Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh is famous for its imarti.

Giant Oreo Chocolate Bar | Eat the Trend
It's the mashup we've all been waiting for! Oreo teamed up with Milka to create a decadent treat to end all sweet-tooth cravings: the Oreo Chocolate Bar. Of course we've decided to make ours supersize. It's the kind of treat to share with others — or hog it for yourself; we won't judge.
Oreo Chocolate Bar
From Brandi Milloy, POPSUGAR Food
INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups milk chocolate, melted, divided
1 cup white chocolate, melted, divided
15 Oreos
4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
DIRECTIONS
Prep loaf pan with parchment paper.
Pour 1 cup milk chocolate evenly into the pan. Place in freezer to set for 10 minutes. Once set, pour 1/2 cup of white chocolate over milk chocolate layer and place in freezer for 10 minutes to set. Meanwhile, make cookie filling by processing Oreos in a food processor until a fine crumb. Add crumbs to a bowl and mix with cream cheese. Once white chocolate layer is set, press cookie filling on top of white chocolate layer. Pour remaining white chocolate over cookie layer and place in freezer for 10 minutes to set. Once set, pour 1 cup of milk chocolate over white chocolate layer and place in freezer for 10 minutes to set.
Finally, remove chocolate cookie log from freezer and place on wire rack. Pour remaining chocolate over log to cover. Place in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes to set. Cut into squares or slices and serve. Or you know, just eat it whole!

When you think of China, you probably don’t think of Islam and Halal food, but that’s exactly what you’ll find in the Northwest. I made my way for a food trip to the dusty and bustling classic Silk Road city of Lanzhou specifically to try the unique halal food of the Hui people. This is the side of China not many people see, and I came here to have an authentic travel experience through food. I found a lot of food reminiscent of countries further west, with insane amounts of lamb and beef leaving me absolutely speechless.

Jim Delligatti—who created the signature sandwich for McDonald’s—died last week. He never got rich from his wildly successful invention.
In the first season of the HBO series The Wire, Wallace (Michael B. Jordan) and D’Angelo (Larry Gilliard Jr.) hold an extended debate about invention of the Chicken McNugget. With sanguine wonder, Wallace imagines the wealth and fame rightly bestowed on the genius inventor. But the wizened D’Angelo pours cold water on his fantasy. “The man who invented them things just some sad-ass down at the basement of McDonald's thinking up some shit to make money for the real players,” he says.
D’Angelo wasn’t too far off when it comes to McDonald’s origin stories. While the McNugget was developed internally by Rene Arend—a chef who had served Hollywood stars and European royalty alike before McDonald’s hired him—the birth of the Big Mac is a bit closer to D’Angelo’s version of the story. There’s no way to overstate the insane reach and impact of the Big Mac, 550 million of which are eaten each year in the United States and which appears—in some form or another—on McDonald’s menus in six continents. Last week, Jim Delligatti, a McDonald’s franchisee and the inventor of the vaunted sandwich, passed away at the age of 98.
In a nod to their ubiquity, several obituaries noted The Big Mac Index, which The Economist introduced 30 years ago. The index serves as “a lighthearted guide to whether currencies are at their ‘correct’ level,” by tracking the cost of a Big Mac around the globe. But for all these triumphs, Delligatti never enjoyed much fame or celebrity in the wake of his creation. In fact, he constantly battled the misconception that the world’s best-selling sandwich had made him billions. “Everybody thinks I did,” he told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette back in 2007. “But no way. All I got was a plaque.”
The genius of the Big Mac was that it fulfilled a serious need for the company, which didn’t have a signature sandwich to compete with the Whopper, Burger King’s titanic and successful sandwich. In 1967, Delligatti was given approval by the corporation to pursue the sandwich so long as he used ingredients already found in a McDonald’s kitchen. According to legend, he cheated the arrangement by getting larger buns from a local baker, the first-ever sesame seed-bedecked buns in franchise history. Delligatti devised the double-decker conceit and tinkered to perfect the special sauce. After introducing the item under a few different names across his several restaurants, Delligatti’s franchises went from being some of the lowest-grossing outfits in the McDonald’s system to the very highest. The Big Mac went national in 1968 and would later be immortalized in jingle form—“two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun.”
The fact that McDonald’s was able to rake in money from Deligatti’s invention, while the creator only scored profits in the form of better restaurant sales may stink of scandal. But that’s the story behind many of McDonald’s signature items. "Nobody could argue with the success of menu additions such as the Filet-o-Fish, the Big Mac, Hot Apple Pie, and Egg McMuffin,” McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc wrote in his autobiography. “The most interesting thing to me about these items is that each evolved from an idea of one of our operators. So the company has benefited from the ingenuity of its small businessmen while they were being helped by the system’s image and cooperative advertising muscle.” In other words, franchisees would get a little bit creative and if an item passed muster with company executives, the company turned it into an item that could be bought practically anywhere in the country.
Nearly 50 years later, the oleaginous excess and two-handed indulgence that once made the Big Mac such a culinary icon is now associated with its undoing. Just this week, the company’s executives reaffirmed that—contrary to occasional rumors—the Big Mac “is here to stay.” That’s not to say there won’t be changes. This winter, as McDonald’s continues the battle to turn its fortunes around, the company will release two limited-time variations of the Big Mac for these polarizing times: a Grand Mac, which will feature bigger patties, and the Mac Jr., which will ditch the second patty and the middle bun.
Deligatti, who reportedly ate at least one Big Mac a week, would probably bristle at such perversions. And though the gears of corporate capitalism may have kept him from collecting billions, as Wallace put it, “He still had the idea, conducted by TheReportOfTheWeek.

Super fast and delicious, this raw vegan vegetarian delight is great for people in a hurry. Hummus is very filling and nutrious, making this quickie snack an actual mea.
Indian Street Food - BEST GALOUTI KEBAB | Tunday Kebabi Galawati Kebab
The Galouti kebab is a dish from South Asia, made of minced goat, gaur or buffalo meat and green papaya, traditionally used to tenderize the meat. After mixing with herbs and spices, the very finely ground meat is shaped into patties and fried in pure ghee until it is browned. Like Lucknowi biryani and Kakori kebab, it is a hallmark of Awadhi cuisine.
Legend has it that the galawati kebab was created for an aging Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Lucknow who lost his teeth, but not his passion for meat dishes. Galawati means "melt in your mouth" and was perfect for the toothless Nawab who continued savouring this until his last days. The original recipe that brought many a smile on the Nawab's face, albeit toothless, and many a sigh of satisfaction, is supposed to have more than 100 aromatic spices.
